Headdresses have been a symbol of elite warriors, class, and priests. Furthermore, headdresses are a symbol to impress, show superiority and status. In this series all wrestlers wear a headdress to elevate them into a significant icon that celebrates their prestige, significance, and struggles in society.
The Luchadorxs imagery represents the struggles and adversities while striving to survive difficult times. They are cultural icons that people will embrace as they reflect their own personality depending on the luchadxr’s mask. Incorporating animal headdresses to the luchadxr addresses a spiritual and physical strength from each of the animals represented. Honoring the animals shows traits such as bravery, courage, strength, ferocity, intelligence, and patience.
